 Photoshop Cs3 New Interface

CS3 now supports a new interface that’s slick and intuitive. Don’t worry, things are still in the same place, more or less. Photoshop is now dressed in collapsible Palette Panes. The palettes can be docked, minimized into icons (click on image at left for full view) or dragged out of the panes to perform the way they always have. This new interface really maximizes screen real estate and lets the application get out of the way of your work. The toolbox can now be displayed as a single column or the standard 2-column for those of us who resist change. 

There are four mode of photoshop Cs3: 

• Standard: The default view
• Maximized: The pasteboard fills the window and the document is enlarged to the maximum possible size without being covered by any palettes.
• Full screen with menu: Hides the Status bar and fills the screen with the pasteboard
• Full screen without Menu: Same as previous but without any menu at the top. (This is sometimes called the “presentation mode”.)

    * Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    * When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
    * Once it’s done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    * You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    * Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    * When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the
Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Removing virus cryp_tap, removing spyware virus

My friend just got infected with a virus called cryp_tap. It was detected with trend micro, and pops up in a dioulouge box every 1 second. he is running a microsoft xp OS and is unsure of his hardware specs. He said that whenever the box pops up it makes a clicking noise. He said it is very annoying and that he has alot of assignments to do and is worried about using the internet. Does anyone know it it will steal passwords, and does anyone know how to get rid of it?

1. Run one of two free on-line scanners:
*** ESET Online Scanner at: http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/
Note: This scanner is for Internet Explorer only
   1.  You will notice that the "Start" button is grayed out. Place a check mark at "Yes, I accept the Terms of use". The "Start" button will become visible. Click on it.
   2. If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
   3. You will be asked to install an ActiveX, click the "Install" button (Note: If you have a Firewall install you may have to approve the installation)
   4. Once ActiveX control is installed click on the "Start" button to initialize the scanner
   5. After initialization is complete, make sure, that  "Remove found threats", and "Scan unwanted applications" are checkmarked.
   6. Click the "Scan" button
   7. Once the scan is done, you will find a log in C:\Program Files\esetonlinescanner\log.txt

3. Then, Download and Install the COMBOFIX.EXE(http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe To remove all  malicious in your PC.

4. Then, Download and Install also the SDFix.exe-(http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/R…ools/SDFix.exe) To fix your Registry and many problem in your PC…You need to run it in SAFEMODE… Once you have instal, go to C:\SDFIx folder and run the Run_This.bat File..

5. Then, this Optional, Download and Install CCCLeaner-(http://www.filehippo.com/download/fi…cdddf643996f0/) To clean your Temporary Files..

6. Update your ANTIVIRUS’ Database or in worse scenario, REINSTALL/REPLACE it.

20 things that you didn’t know about windows XP

You’ve read the reviews and digested the key feature enhancements and operational
changes. Now it’s time to delve a bit deeper and uncover some of Windows XP’s secrets.

1. It boasts how long it can stay up. Whereas previous versions of Windows were coy
about how long they went between boots, XP is positively proud of its stamina. Go to the
Command Prompt in the Accessories menu from the All Programs start button option,
and then type ’systeminfo’. The computer will produce a lot of useful info, including the
uptime. If you want to keep these, type ’systeminfo > info.txt’. This creates a file called
info.txt you can look at later with Notepad. (Professional Edition only).

2. You can delete files immediately, without having them move to the Recycle Bin first.
Go to the Start menu, select Run… and type ‘gpedit.msc’; then select User Configuration,
Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Windows Explorer and find the Do
not move deleted files to the Recycle Bin setting. Set it. Poking around in gpedit will
reveal a great many interface and system options, but take care — some may stop your
computer behaving as you wish. (Professional Edition only).

3. You can lock your XP workstation with two clicks of the mouse. Create a new shortcut
on your desktop using a right mouse click, and enter ‘rundll32.exe
user32.dll,LockWorkStation’ in the location field. Give the shortcut a name you like.
That’s it — just double click on it and your computer will be locked. And if that’s not easy
enough, Windows key + L will do the same.

4. XP hides some system software you might want to remove, such as Windows
Messenger, but you can tickle it and make it disgorge everything. Using Notepad or Edit,
edit the text file /windows/inf/sysoc.inf, search for the word ‘hide’ and remove it. You can
then go to the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, select Add/Remove
Windows Components and there will be your prey, exposed and vulnerable.
